Your systems already know a lot. Plate puts it together and hands you the short list.

First

Connect what you have

Connect your POS, or bring in counts, schedules, reservations and delivery reports from files you already export.

Square connects today. Toast and Clover are being verified.
Then

Plate reads it all

Every page works from the same information, and Today points out what may need attention, with the reason and source.

Estimates and sample data are always labeled.
You

Review and decide

Approve, change or dismiss each recommendation. Plate doesn't place orders, change schedules or post on its own.

House rules

Plate suggests. You decide.

  1. Plate reads and recommendsIt organizes the information you connect or import and shows the reason and source for each suggestion.
  2. People approve the actionsOrders, schedule changes, reservations, catering and review replies go nowhere without an authorized person's approval.
  3. Owners decide who sees whatThe owner sets each person's role, locations and department, with exceptions when needed. Plate's server checks them on every request.
  4. Your POS stays yoursConnecting a POS uses the POS's own approval screen. Plate never asks for your POS password.

FAQ

Good questions.

What does Plate help with?

Getting ready for service and running the day: what needs attention today, sales by location, staffing and attendance, inventory and purchasing, cash and loss prevention, checklists and inspections, reservations and the calendar, online ordering, reviews, and Growth AI plans for a specific challenge, in one place.

Does Plate make decisions or take actions automatically?

No. Plate recommends; an owner or manager approves, edits or dismisses. It doesn't place supplier orders, change schedules, accept catering or reply to reviews on its own.

Who uses Plate?

Owners, for a view across their restaurants; General Managers, for the locations they run; Kitchen and Bar Managers, for their own department; and employees, for their own shifts and tasks. Owners invite each person and choose their role, and each person sees what their role allows.

What information or integrations are needed?

A Square POS can be connected directly today; Toast and Clover connections are being verified. Inventory counts, schedules, reservations, reviews and delivery reports can be imported from files. Some features, like live weather and local events, are still planned.

How does loss prevention work?

Plate reviews discounts, free items, canceled items, refunds, cash counts and waste, and flags patterns worth a closer look, with the evidence and the reason it was flagged. You set the limits that decide what needs sign-off. A finding is something to review, not proof that anyone did anything wrong. In the demo it uses sample data today; with your restaurant, it will use your POS's transaction records once that connection is in place.

Can kitchen and bar managers use Plate?

Yes. Owners can give someone the Kitchen Manager or Bar Manager role, and they see the same Plate pages showing their own department: its checklists, inspections, budgets, waste and projects. They can also set goals for their own team and use Growth AI for a challenge in their area.
